The Sun is Shining

“From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised!”

The sun is shining brightly even if clouds block its rays.

I’m finally beginning to feel like my new self–deeper with God, radiating with life, and full of peace. It’s been a hard journey, especially when pneumonia became an additional battle.

I officially begin radiation treatment at City of Hope in Zion, IL on August 17^th. We are walking by faith that God will provide, as he has done already through this whole cancer journey. And more good news is this: Our shared health program will cover half of our treatment costs. Amen!

Last week I went up to Zion to get blueprinted for radiation and left with temporary tattoos. This week I'm in California for a health boost. Each day I feel better and stronger, though I still have much recovery ahead of me.

The attached picture is a painting that my dear friend, Peggy, has been working on as a surprise for me. She is so talented; I believe she captured my smile beautifully. Notice even the background: It is Scripture from the Bible.

Things to lift in prayer:

1. My remaining five days of health boost will do my body good.

2. Safe travels to Zion, Illinois

3. Successful radiation treatment

4. The Lord will supply our remaining needs for treatment and housing.
