Bloodwork and Podcast

My bloodwork came back—my home health doctor assigned by Hope4Cancer confirmed that my metabolic, kidney, and liver function look good. My inflammatory markers (CRP and sed rate) remain elevated but have not gotten worse.

My red and white blood cell count are back in range, however, the hemoglobin, hematocrit, and MCH continue to show mild anemia—those markers are ever so slightly below normal range. Nonetheless, these results are better. And the best news: the tumor markers (CEA and CA-125) are within range, as well as my vitamin D level. Overall, this was my best bloodwork to date.

I will admit the last two weeks have been a bit challenging. I took my first road trip to Grand Rapids to attend a faith and writing conference. I drove so that I could take all of my therapies with me. On the first day of the conference, however, I walked too much and wore myself out. It became an uphill battle of recovery for the rest of the trip, though I’m happy to report I am home and doing much better today.

Back in February, my friend Chris Gray who has a podcast called “Loving God First” interviewed me on my dedication to memorize Scripture and on leading Date Palm Consulting (the ministry I founded).
