A Favor and A Joy

Have you ever had a morning that felt like nothing went right? This morning, I did. But I can’t say that about my afternoon. I met with the MD doctor who does some alternative therapies. It was the best doctor’s appointment I have had since my diagnosis with cancer.

We meet in an office, not a patient room. We had dialogue, not a one-sided conversation. I truly felt like an active participant in my healthcare. Perhaps the thing that touched me the most was our similar faith in Christ. He even said to me, “Your faith is the best asset in your fight with cancer.”

When I return from Hope4Cancer, we will meet again to review what therapies Hope4Cancer recommends that he can assist in. In the meantime, he ran some tests, including blood work. I will also have a gut analysis to better manage nutrition and healthy eating.

Thank you for everyone who prayed for my time with the doctor. The whole appointment was a joy, even the trouble they had trying to find a vein to take blood… (I have tiny veins which often makes it a challenge).

Now it is my time to ask a favor from all of you. I need to manage my time better regarding updates and replies to emails. Currently I have been sending email updates manually—twenty-five at a time so it does not end up as spam (It’s a long list). Sadly, I have not done the best job making sure everyone is up-to-date or replying to those who send an encouraging note. If I have missed you, I'm so sorry.

In addition, since my last update on Monday, many have asked how you can help us financially and if we would consider setting up a fundraising page. Brian and I are so touched by the thoughtfulness and the outpouring of support.

We took the advice and set up a GiveSendGo page ( https://www.givesendgo.com/TammyLeaFabian ), which not only is an avenue for fundraising, but also for managing updates. (Yay!) After you access the link, click the “Follow” button located after the posted update. Put in your email address and you will automatically be sent the latest health update going forward. (Or just keep this link handy to check the website from time and again. I will plan on writing the next update right before I leave for Mexico.)

There is also a “Pray” button on the page to send an encouraging note or to notify me that you lifted a prayer. Please know you can still send me a personal email or letter in the mail.

Lastly, I also know that some people have requested sending us a check, or money via Zelle or Venmo. If you are one of those people, here is that information:

1.      18810 CR 4235, Frankston TX 75763

2.      Zelle - Tammy Fabian 214-734-5973

3.      Venmo - @Brian-Jamison-27

Don’t forget to click “Follow” on the website or save the link to check from time to time.

Love you all.
